Baldwin County Schools proudly announces that Olivia Hill, substitute teacher, parent, and alumna of Baldwin High School, was selected to serve on the Georgia Department of Education’s State Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Council.
Hill will serve a two-year term on the council, providing valuable parent perspectives on curriculum and policy decisions at the state level. She was nominated for the position by Dr.
Tracey Clark, principal of Lakeview Primary, who taught Hill as a fourth-grade student and continues to recognize her commitment to education.
A lifelong advocate for Baldwin County Schools, Hill has been deeply involved as a parent, volunteer, and founding member of the Lakeview Academy PTO. She has served on Local School Governance Teams at both Lakeview Primary and Lakeview Academy, and regularly supports programs in theater, chorus, and school events. “I feel honored to represent Baldwin County and share the perspective of parents, teachers, and students,” Hill said.
“Having been through the Baldwin County school system myself, I understand the importance of working together, with parents, staff, and community, to give our children the best path to success.”
Hill’s two children, Gideon (4th grade, gifted program) and Rider (2nd grade, Montessori program), are enrolled in Baldwin County Schools, giving her firsthand insight into the diverse opportunities the district provides for families.
Hill succeeds Dr.
Kristina Hill, another Baldwin parent who served on the council for the past two years.
Together, their four consecutive years of service highlight the district’s strong parent leadership and advocacy.
