Milledgeville to welcome 7 Brew Coffee

Milledgeville is set to welcome a new addition to its coffee scene with the upcoming opening of 7 Brew Coffee drive-thru at 1801 N. Columbia St., adjacent to the Goodwill shopping center and up the hill from Lowe's.

7 Brew Coffee, established in 2017 in Rogers, Arkansas, has rapidly expanded its footprint across the nation. The brand is renowned for transforming the drivethru coffee experience, offering a diverse menu that includes espresso- based beverages, infused energy drinks, Italian sodas, smoothies, and teas, according to a press release. The company emphasizes not just quality and speed but also fostering genuine connections with customers, aiming to make each visit the highlight of their day.

Residents in Milledgeville are already buzzing about the new addition to town. Georgia College student Jackie Testerman said she’s eager to try something new.

“I love supporting local coffee shops, but I’m also excited about a new spot for quick drinks, especially since I’m always on the go between classes,” Testerman said.

Milledgeville resident Ben Field sees the drivethru concept as a major convenience.

“It’s nice to have a quick coffee stop on my way to work,” he said. “I usually go to Starbucks, but I’ll definitely give 7 Brew a try.”

The brand’s customer service model is built on positivity and engagement, with employees personally greeting customers at their car windows rather than relying on traditional speaker systems.

Long-time resident Caliey Sanchiez believes 7 Brew’s focus on customer interaction will stand out.

“I’ve heard they have a really fun and friendly staff, which makes a huge difference. It’s more than just the coffee, it’s the experience,” Sanchiez said.

The development of the Milledgeville location is spearheaded by Davis Companies, a commercial real estate firm based in Albany. CEO Matthew Davis has ambitious plans for 7 Brew's expansion in the state, with 76 locations planned, including upcoming sites in Macon and Warner Robins. According to a Davis Companies press release, Davis is enthusiastic about the Milledgeville market, noting the exciting developments in the area and the company’s eagerness to become a part of the community.

Currently, the Milledgeville location is still in the construction phase. While an official opening date has not yet been announced, residents can anticipate the new coffee shop to be up and running later this year.
