GCSU wraps up play at Cateechee Fall Invitational

The Georgia College & State University men's golf team wrapped up play at the Cateechee Fall Invitational hosted by Lander University on Tuesday afternoon.

The Bobcats finished the 54-hole tournament in 20th place with a score of 911 after posting rounds of 310, 309, and 292 on the par 71, 6,646-yard layout at the Cateechee Golf Club. The University of North Georgia won the event with a score of 815.

Chase Blanton was the top GCSU golfer in the field as he tied for 72nd place at 221 after rounds of 69, 74, and 78. Matthew Rogers tied for 99th at 230 after shooting scores of 80, 81, and 69, while Jacob Speece and Ty Darsey tied for 101st place at 231. Speece signed for scorecards of 78, 78, and 75, and Darcey recorded rounds of 84, 77, and 70.

Santi Ercole finished 107th at 247 with scores of 83, 80 and 84.

The Bobcats wrap up their fall season on Oct. 16 when they travel to Albany, Georgia, for the Hurricane Invitational
