Milledgeville Main Street’s First Friday event made its return on Aug. 4 with the August Car Show.

Live music played at the Plaza next to Allen's Market with local musicians from Hypertension Live Band and over 50 classic cars were displayed on the street by Old Capital Car Club of Milledgeville. Tables from a variety of vendors and organizations resided along the street with activities and prizes for adults and kids.

Then, at the pavilion, The Milly Market was set up with vendors selling local produce and pastries.

Though rain interrupted the start of the event, clouds soon cleared, and the street was full of attendees visiting the tables, watching the musicians, and viewing the cars present.

Many visitors also took pictures with a monster truck on display beside the Kona Ice truck.

First Fridays is a free event hosted on the first Friday of each month with a different theme. The event is possible due to donations and the 2023 First Friday sponsors.
