On Dec. 10, Kroger employees and customers were evacuated after an unknown male threatened to "blow up" the store.
According to the incident report, an unidentified individual, with a masculine voice, hacked into the employee radio channel. According to the store manager, the individual made vulgar comments and played indecent sounds over the radio.
Approximately two minutes before the manager called 911, the individual reportedly called her out by name, described what she was wearing and made vulgar comments towards her. After this exchange, he stated he was going to "blow up" the store.
"Bomb detection dogs from Jones County Sheriff's Office and Bibb County Sheriff's Office arrived on scene and conducted a sweep of the store," wrote reporting officer Benjamin Johnson. "No explosive devices were located."
The manager reported to Johnson that she did not know anyone that would make threats towards her or the store.
Kroger was cleared for safety. Employees and customers returned inside, however, the offender has yet to be identified.
