More info: If you are tired of kayaking the same stretch of river again and again, the Explorer Series is for you! It’s a series of guided trips that aim to explore different sections of the Oconee River, as well as some of the other waterways of central Georgia. The first trip will be Saturday, April 30, putting in at Balls Ferry State Park and ending at Johnson County Landing, a trip of approximately 8 miles. This play is based on a 1997 film and is packed with adventure and music.

More info: On Saturday, May 14, Lockerly is very excited to host the Historic Landscapes Programs annual fundraiser. The event will be from 10am to 2pm and will feature tours of Rose Hill and the grounds. Tickets include a tour of Historic Rose Hill and keynote speaker, Milledgeville’s own Jon Jackson of Comfort Farms. We are especially excited that lunch will be prepared by Jon. The mission of Comfort Farms is to promote a structured, holistic approach for displaced veterans suffering from PTSD and other invisible disabilities, aiding their reintegration into family, society and economy. This event is open to the public! Tickets are $40 per person and you can register online.
