GCSU’s impact on regional economy rises

Georgia College & State University’s (GCSU) economic impact in Central Georgia jumped to $308 million in 2023, up 1.8% over the previous year.That figure marks a 9% increase ($26 million) over the past three years.The university continues to create jobs in the area, as well.

Customer caught with stolen checkOn Aug. 6, law enforcement responded to Johnny McDade Grocery in reference to a forgery. An employee received a stolen check from Julius Brown on Feb. 10. The check was written from Simmons Auto Repair and Body Shop LLC, located at 436 E. Walton St.
