Georgia College hosts Water Education Week

Georgia College & State University’s Academic Outreach and Aquatic Science Center partnered to host Water Education Week.October 13-19 was Water Education Week on GCSU’s campus.

Grand Champions: Baldwin High band wins at Hurricane Classic

The Baldwin High School Band of the Braves was crowned as grand champion, amongst winning other awards, at the Hurricane Classic at Monroe Area High School.The Hurricane Classic is one several local marching band competitions held annually. This year was Baldwin High School’s first time competing.

GCSU assists relief efforts after devastating hurricane

Braves deliver 57-0 beatdown to Rebels

Playing in their first game since Sept. 13, the Baldwin Braves returned to the gridiron last Friday night in Milledgeville against Hephzibah and handed the Rebels a 57-0 loss. The win improved the Braves’ record to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in region play this season.

Walls of Books in Milledgeville offers a selection of new and used books for readers of any age.Opening in July of 2020, Wall of Books established itself as an affordable bookstore with a vast selection of books and genres.

Baldwin sets record for one-day early voting

Baldwin County joined thousands across Georgia this week, setting a record for one-day early voting.Tuesday was the first day for early voting for the Nov. 5 General Election, and Baldwin County Chief Voter Registrar Randy Morrow said Wednesday morning that 1,333 ballots had been cast.
