Pickeball courts, Harrisburg streetscape project approved

It is official. The Baldwin Board of Commissioners this week formally ratified contracts for the construction and lighting of 20 new pickleball courts.The unanimous votes to approve the contracts with Dyer Construction Co. in the amount of $1,302,702 for the courts and Georgia Power Co.

GMC Marine Biology holds excursion to Jekyll Island

Georgia Military College’s Marine Biology class took a field trip to Jekyll Island this month to gain professional experience in the field of marine biology and engage in research.

Kemp announces another $1B tax rebate

For the second time in three years, Gov. Brian Kemp is giving Georgians a tax rebate worth more than $1 billion.Kemp said Tuesday he will include the rebate in the mid-year budget he introduces to the General Assembly in January.

Local repairman scamOn Oct. 17, law enforcement made contact with Monroe Davis at the sheriff's office in reference to theft by deception. Davis stated he paid James Mazza $1,500 in August to repair a boat lift, located at his property in Eatonton.

Pickleball courts expected soon in Baldwin

Baldwin County pickleball enthusiasts may have received on Monday what they’ve been seeking for the past year when the Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to accept a bid for the construction of 20 new courts.
