Local photographer captures the echoes of CSH in new book

Jessica Whitehead’s new photography book doesn’t shy away from discomfort. In fact, that’s part of its purpose. In her haunting collection of images taken throughout Milledgeville’s Central State Hospital, Whitehead brings a personal and professional lens to a place steeped in history and emotion.

Cuban Exhibit to open at CSH museum

A new exhibit will be opening at the Central State Hospital Museum April 26 titled “Cuban Professionals Join Hospital Staff.”Seeking Asylum author and photographer Jessica Whitehead, who runs the museum, stated the exhibit was inspired by a friend of hers named Rita Judy.
