PSC sets hearings on Georgia Power plan for more capacity

Georgia energy regulators voted unanimously Tuesday to hold hearings this fall on a Georgia Power request to certify 9,900 megawatts of new power generating capacity environmentalists say would rely heavily on harmful fossil fuels.

Milledgeville man pleads to witness intimidation

A Milledgeville man was recently in Jones County Superior Court facing charges for four cases, including witness intimidation and forgery.Edward Jerome Broadus Jr. entered guilty pleas to two of the cases July 17, and the other two were dismissed as part of plea negotiations with the state.

Distraction-Free Education Act goes into effect this school year
