Learning in Retirement hosted its monthly meeting Friday, hosting the Quilts of Valor. Quilts were presented to two veteran members. The guest speaker was Ginny Deardoff Dornhagen, who was an Army nurse with service in Vietnam in the Intensive Care and Recovery units.

Georgia’s Old Capital Heritage Center at the Depot celebrated the 200th anniversary of the Brown-Stetson-Sanford House, a home that launched the movement of historic renovations in Milledgeville. It also is one of many museums near the downtown area.

County reports strong resolutions for identified issues

Baldwin County Commission Chairman Andrew Strickland delivered the State of the County address during the Milledgeville-Baldwin Chamber of Commerce’s last Eggs and Issues this year.The county’s areas of focus included infrastructure, compliance, and code enforcement.

BCSD assists families in need during holiday season

BOC discusses golf improvements, airport plan

The Baldwin County Board of Commissioners met Nov. 4 to discuss golf course improvements, the Baldwin County Regional Airport Capital Improvement Plan, and workforce grants.
