Three arrested for attempt to steal ATM

Three men reportedly stole an ATM from Robins Federal Credit Union in Milledgeville and were in jail within minutes of the theft thanks to Milledgeville Police Department officers, Baldwin Sheriff’s deputies and a Putnam County Sheriff’s K9 officer and handler. Shortly before 5:30 a.m.

After 25 years, the Georgia War Veterans Home (GWVH) is changing management from Georgia-based PruittHealth to STG International, a government contractor based in Virginia. STG International became the official new manager on Sept. 21.

Airport decisions tabled during BOC meeting

The City of Milledgeville and Georgia College & State University (GCSU) have received a $100,000 grant to educate students on the design and installation of solar panels. Officials are hoping for both short-and long-term positive results.

BOC approves transit system and Land Bank board members

The Board of Commissioners held a regular board meeting, following a public hearing, on Sept. 15. Beginning the meeting, commissioners unanimously approved Commissioner Henry Craig’s resolution for the improvement of mental health.
