Atrium Health Navicent Women’s Care OB/ GYN Baldwin recently opened in Milledgeville at 624 W. Martin Luther King Dr. It offers services from OB prenatal, gynecologist, post-natal, and more.
According to Tammy Coulter, a practice assistant at the care facility, it aims to expand access to the women’s health services in the community.
“We are an OB/GYN office, and there’s only one other one in the city,” Coulter explained. “With this addition, we’ll be able to reach more women who need care, ensuring they receive timely treatment.”
Over the past few years, there has been a struggle to meet women’s healthcare needs in Milledgeville due to limited access. With another provider, patients will have more options and availability times to schedule appointments.
“We opened in February, so with all of our new patients we’re making sure we’re providing the best care.”
Although the office is fairly new, it aims to provide a comfortable and professional environment, so patients feel at ease when booking appointments.
“Whether our patients are coming in to book prenatal care or post-natal follow up appointments, we make sure patients get the services they need,” said Coulter. “We have experienced staff who are committed to women’s wellness.”
Women can book services for checkups after childbirth, routine screenings, and family planning. The office also provides patient education, offering consultations so women can be informed of what services they are receiving entail.
“The team at Atrium knows how important individual care is and taking care of our bodies,” said Coulter. “Women are encouraged to schedule regular screenings in order to find potential health issues early.”
For expectant mothers, the office offers nutritional guidance and birthing classes. Postpartum support is also priority for the office and patients are well assured.
