A local man was shot Oct. 22, in a drive-by shooting near the intersection of Allen Memorial Drive and Harrisburg Road.
The victim, identified as Jabrandon Ford, was shot in his left elbow and left upper thigh.
Ford was reportedly walking westbound on Allen Memorial near the Dollar General when they saw an unknown brown vehicle drive by and heard five to six gunshots. At that point, Ford realized he had been shot twice.
A witness near the intersection at Harrisburg Road recognized Ford on the ground as they were driving by and assisted him. The witness took Ford to Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin Hospital’s emergency department.
According to the report, the witness heard approximately four gunshots and saw the same brown vehicle speed past them heading west on Allen Memorial. Right after this, they noticed the victim on the ground near Harrisburg Rd.
Ford’s injuries were not life threatening and he was released from the hospital the same day.
“Jabrandon stated he was not in any gangs, nor did he have any problems with anyone. He stated that he did not know who shot him,” wrote reporting officer Ernesto Lopez.
Another report was filed Oct. 23, by Lopez in relation to another shooting. According to that report, a bullet hole was found on the front side of a woman’s single-wide mobile home on Pounds Drive.
“I inspected the hole, which was indeed a bullet hole,” Lopez wrote in his report. “The trajectory of the bullet showed it entered through the front of the residence, exiting through the rear window.”
Another bullet hole was found in a fence surrounding the home.
As of Tuesday, Oct. 25, no one has been arrested in connection with either shooting.
