BOC discusses rural housing initiative proposals

BOC recognizes Women’s History Month

The Baldwin County Board of Commissioners’ March 5 meeting was all about recognition as the board recognized women for Women’s History Month and commissioner Henry Craig reflected on his years of service and announced his choice to retire.

Longtime Baldwin County resident and well-known musician Scott Little announced his running for the District 5 seat on the Baldwin County Board of Commissioners.“I love Baldwin County and as an active member of the community … I feel that I can stand up and participate,” said Little.

New, important exhibits coming to CSH museum

Baldwin County is donating to a soon-to-open museum exhibit a cornerstone from a prison building that once housed hundreds of inmates, as well as the electric chair used by the state for executions.

County conducts survey regarding recreation and safety

The Baldwin County Board of Commissioners voted on Jan. 16 to cancel all contracts related to the multi-use path project near the Baldwin County Regional Airport. However, discussions about recreational opportunities and other multi-use paths are not over.
