Bobcat volleyball goes 2-1 in Mars Hill Tournament

Georgia College & State University (3-3) took two wins over King University and Coker College. The Bobcats kicked off the Mars Hill Tournament against the King University Tornados and beat them in three sets. Callie Miller of Allatoona led the team in kills with 13.

Behind resurgent offense, Ware steamrolls Baldwin, 41-3

Baldwin’s hopes of entering the win column for the first time this season ended early on Friday night. Ware County dominated all facets of the game and defeated the Braves, 41-3 The Gators were led by quarterback Nikao Smith, who went 13-of-18 for 184 yards and two touchdowns through the air.

BHS Women’s Flag Football team wins Atlanta Falcons grant for $5,000

Baldwin High School women’s flag football team has picked up a $5,000 Atlanta Falcons grant as well as a Nike credit of $3,000 for new uniforms. Flag football head coach Tara Burney first learned of the grant from BHS Athletic Director Dexter Ricks Sr.
