The John Milledge Academy Lady Trojans extended their season-opening win streak to 10 games with a 46-36 victory over Tattnall Square Academy last Wednesday.
The Lady Trojans had a slow start but reached a 10-6 lead in the second quarter.

Baldwin High School hires new head football coach

On Wednesday, Baldwin High School officially announced Kevin Patterson as its new head football coach.
Patterson replaces Jessie Hicks, who coached at Baldwin in two different stints, going 110-60 in 15 seasons.

Dawgs make statement with rout of FSU

Georgia made a huge statement in its 63-3 rout of Florida State this past Saturday in the Orange Bowl.
Both teams were left out of the College Football Playoff, but the No. 6 Bulldogs showed why they should have made it after losing Dec. 2 to No. 4 Alabama in the SEC Championship game.

Mixed results for JMA boys' basketball

The John Milledge Academy (JMA) boys’ basketball team had a rough week before Christmas, going 1-4 over five games and dropping their season record to 4-4 overall.
The Trojans’ lone win came on Dec. 20 at home over the Academy for Classical Education (ACE) to cap off the Larry Prestridge Classic.

Braves top Wesleyan after action-packed week

Baldwin boys’ basketball capped off an action-packed week with a close victory over Wesleyan last Saturday at the inaugural Hoop Atlanta Holiday Classic at Peachtree Ridge High School.
The Braves topped the Wolves 52-47, led by senior Tremarius Lawrence, who came alive in the fourth quarter.

Rhodes resigns after one season at GMC Prep

GMC Prep head football coach Bobby Rhoades has resigned after one season with the program.
The Union-Recorder was first to report the news last week, but Rhoades confirmed his resignation with The Baldwin Bulletin this week. He stepped away one month after the football season ended.

JMA Lady Trojans win over Windsor, CFCA

The John Milledge Academy (JMA) Lady Trojans improved to 4-0 with two wins last week over Windsor Academy and Central Fellowship Christian of Macon.
The Lady Trojans crushed the Lady Knights in Macon last Monday, winning 72-8 in a grossly mismatched game.

The Baldwin Bravettes basketball team improved its record to 8-2 last week with wins over Swainsboro and Spalding.
Baldwin currently sits atop the Region 4-AA standings and is ranked No. 1 in Class 4A, according to SandysSpiel.com.

The Baldwin Braves boys’ basketball team improved to 4-0 with their most recent win at home on Dec. 8 over the Howard Huskies from Macon.
The Braves won 77-53 over the visiting Huskies to add to their wins over Morrow, Central (Macon) and Southwest (Macon).

Trojans trump pair of Knights to start season

The John Milledge Academy (JMA) Trojans boys’ basketball team opened its season last Friday with a 61-42 road win over the Dominion Christian Knights of Marietta.
Three days later, JMA visited Windsor Academy of Macon and came away with a 69-52 decision, again over the Knights.
