‘Heartbreaker’ for Braves in semifinal vs. North Oconee

Baldwin’s season ended in the worst possible way, losing at the buzzer to North Oconee in the Class AAAA semifinal. The Titans topped the Braves 65-64 when sophomore forward Khamari Brooks sunk a put-back layup in the net.

Bravettes dominate early playoff rounds in March to Macon

Baldwin girls' basketball began its playoff march last Wednesday with an 84-5 rout of Southeast Bulloch, followed by a 62-42 victory over Trinity Christian over the weekend, and a 66-39 win over Stockbridge on Tuesday.

Braves survive first-round scare, make up for it in Sweet 16

Baldwin boys’ basketball began its playoff run last week against Southeast Bulloch, surviving a 59-54 scare. The Braves ran into foul trouble, with several players fouling out, but managed to grind out a win over the Jackets.

One-point win advances JMA to state playoffs

The John Milledge Academy (JMA) boys’ basketball team wrapped up its region championship tournament going 1-1 after losing to Tatnall Square 55-50 in the first round and then beating Mount de Sales in a nail-biter by just one point.

JMA baseball seeks ‘three-peat’ in 2024

The John Milledge Academy (JMA) Trojans baseball team successfully defended its state title last year but now faces an even bigger challenge in 2024 with their eyes set on a “three-peat.” JMA swept the Pinewood Patriots two games to none in the 2023 state championship series.

Bravettes win region title; Neal reaches 1,000 points

Baldwin girls’ basketball captured the Region 2-AAAA championship on Feb. 16 with a 63-38 dismantling of rival Griffin.In a game in which she surpassed the 1,000-point mark of her career, Kassidy Neal led her team to victory, scoring 22 points while also grabbing 21 rebounds.
