County considers property assessment challenges

The number of property reassessment appeals in Baldwin County this year has continued to grow in recent weeks, and Board of Equalization (BOE) hearings on those that have not been settled are scheduled to begin within two weeks.

GMC Prep hosts wrestling camp for future program

Georgia Military Preparatory School hosted Wrestling Camp July 15-17 to teach 10 elementary school campers the basics of wrestling.High school wrestling coach Gavin Tierce hosted the camp on the main GMC campus to teach basic fundamentals.

Baldwin retains millage rate – for now

The Baldwin County Board of Commissioners adopted a preliminary millage rate on Monday, primarily as a formality to comply with state guidelines. If ultimately approved for 2024, the millage rate could mean a significant tax increase for some property owners.
