PSWCD invites students to enter poster contest

The Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District (PSWCD), a local agency dedicated to the conservation and stewardship of the area’s natural resources, is now accepting entries for its annual poster contest, limited to 3rd through 5th-grade students within the District’s service area.

In the spirit of the season, Milledgeville Garden Club members gathered for a Holiday Tea and brought over 50 books to donate to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Milledgeville and Gray. This is an annual project that has grown substantially over the years.

GCSU hosts local high schools in Athletic Education Days

The men’s and women’s basketball teams for the Georgia College Bobcats independently hosted two Education Days at the Centennial Center earlier this month. Over the span of two days, approximately 5,000 students from surrounding counties visited Milledgeville to watch the Bobcats in action.

Credit Community Mission Fund supports herb garden

Comfort Farms, a veteran-led nonprofit farm in Milledgeville, launched a new perennial herb garden with support from a $5,000 grant from AgGeorgia Farm Credit’s 2024 Community Mission Fund.
