Georgia’s Old Capital Heritage Center at the Depot, Inc. (GOCHC) hosted The Miniature World of Cathrine Rowe opening reception April 27, at the Brown-Stetson-Sanford House. The Brown-Stetson-Sanford House is a historic home that is owned by GOCHC and acts as a museum and event space.

Local author Susan Lindsley will be launching her book Milledgeville’s Sesquicentennial Murders May 2, at the Red Door in downtown Milledgeville. Seventy years ago, Lindsley learned who Marion Stembridge was. Her family friend, Eva Sloan, barely missed being one of his murder victims.

The front campus of Georgia College and State University (GCSU) in Milledgeville was a splash of all colors of the rainbow April 15, as the 9th ArtHealthy Festival was underway. Sponsors of the event included Create, Inc. and GCSU. According to Toyia Barnes, owner of Create, Inc.
Inspired by Zoobooks, Grace Horrin created magazine editions of dogs and cats in need throughout Georgia. With this piece, she hoped to bring more awareness to shelters.
