Georgia College & State University’s Music Department and Allied Arts held the 36th annual Art and Jazz Fest on April 26 on front campus.GCSU’s Porter Combo opened the festival with a selection from Duke Elington and played for around 25 minutes.

Lake Oconee Elks visit Georgia War Veterans Home

The Lake Oconee Elks Lodge chuckwagon crew and lodge volunteers visited the Georgia War Veterans Home (GWVH) in Milledgeville April 22 to grill beer brats and hamburgers for veterans at the home.Twenty-three volunteers from Elks Lodge 2849, based at 871 Harmony Rd.
