GMC earns second place in national Ethics Bowl

United States Merchant Marine veteran Truett Elton celebrated his 100th birthday Nov. 12 at the Georgia War Veterans Home. Elton recieved 308 birthday cards by the end of his birthday from many different individuals and organizations.

Putnam Reads fall fundraiser continues

The United States is facing a literacy crisis, now ranking 36th in literacy among 184 countries, according to the 2024 World Population Review, and a recent Digest of Education Statistics report said that 66% of 4th-grade students in Georgia were not proficient at reading.
