From kindergartners to teens, there’s something for everyone at Georgia College & State University’s summer camps for kids. A variety of sport camps are available, along with nine weeks of themed Kids’ University camps, specialty and other youth camps.
Athletic programs include day camps to develop youth basketball, baseball, and tennis skills. Tennis camp is May 28-31; basketball July 15-19; and baseball July 22-25.
Kids’ University summer camps for K-6 are nine weeks of special-themed, all-day camps beginning May 28 through July 26. This year’s themes are Crafty & Colorful, May 28-31; Maker’s Workshop, June 3-7; Jump, Jump, June 10-14; Hometown Heroes, June 17-21; Animal Planet, June 24-28; To Infinity and Kids’ U!, July 1-3; Time Twister, July 8-12; Kids’ U’s Got Talent, July 15-19; and Kids’ U Olympics, July 22-26.
Three specialty camps are June 24-28. One, for 4-6th graders, is about the ocean and marine creatures. Two weeks are devoted to teenagers and theatre, July 8-12 and July 15-19. These professional workshops focus on individual training in acting, staging and theatre production. Teens can also write their own songs in Makin’ Music camp, June 24-28.
