Georgia Military College Preparatory School (GMC Prep) hosted a successful 2024 Georgia Junior Thespians Conference at Georgia Military College on Feb. 24.
The event created a significant economic impact, with over 700 middle school students and their chaperones hailing from 30 different schools across Georgia attending.
The conference utilized various state-of-the-art venues on the GMC campus, including the NewDay USA Center of Leadership, the Goldstein Center for the Performing Arts, both high school and junior college classrooms, the Kidd Center, and Cordell Gymnasium, providing an enriching environment for participants.
A highlight of the event was the captivating performance of SpongeBob: The Musical, featuring the artistic talents of GMC Prep middle school students. This production not only showcased the dedication and skill of the performers but also provided an opportunity for attendees to engage with fellow thespians from different regions of the state.
"We are thrilled to have hosted such a successful event that brought together young artists from across Georgia," said LTC Mark Weaver, fine arts director at Georgia Military College Preparatory School. "The 2024 Georgia Junior Thespians Conference was a day filled with inspiration, learning, and unforgettable performances."
Georgia Military College extends heartfelt thanks to all participants, including GMC faculty and staff, whose unwavering commitment played a pivotal role in creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.
