Get groovy at annual Hippie Daze Festival

>> UPCOMING EVENT

Milledgeville will be filled with peace, love, and good vibes Oct. 11-12 at the two-day Hippie Daze Festival. Guests will embrace the essence of the late 1960s with a weekend full of live music, vintage cars, tie-dye, and bubble stations, as well as a variety of food and drinks.

The grounds will be adorned with decor celebrating the era, becoming a space where attendees can be fully immersed in the past. Visitors are encouraged to come dressed to impress.

“Think all things tie-dye, peace and love, and flower child,” said event coordinator David Settle.

The Hippie Daze Festival will have something for everyone, with unique vendors for those who love to shop and kids' activity stations for children to enjoy.

Live music will play on both days of the festival, with performances from JD Cable, the Empty Bottle Band, and Dire Woof, which is a tribute to The Grateful Dead.

This lineup provides a mix of psychedelic rock and folk music that will transport listeners to the Woodstock era. Attendees can bring their own lawn chairs to comfortably kick back and enjoy the day’s music and entertainment.

Vintage cars from the era will be a sight to behold, with those who register vehicles for the car show receiving free event admission. Volkswagen vans and buses, as well as the Mystery Mobile, of Scooby-Doo fame, will participate in the car show.

Visitors can also get in tune with their creativity by participating in tie-dye art stations. The station will provide all the materials needed to create a wearable souvenir.

Primitive or RV camping will also be allowed for an additional charge, allowing attendees to embrace the festival experience.

Festival hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets may be purchased online at ticketleap.events/ tickets/south-creek/ hippiedaze2025 or gate tickets will be available for purchase for $10 more. Single- or two-day tickets are available, with children 10 and under receiving free admission.
