Downtown Milledgeville will take on a fresh springtime feel with a golf-inspired twist during April’s First Friday event, “Masters in Milly,” happening April 3 from 5-8 p.m. This month’s event is presented by Hyundai of Milledgeville and sponsored by Caddy’s Corner.
Inspired by the excitement of The Masters Tournament, Masters in Milly invites residents and visitors to enjoy an evening of shopping, dining, and interactive fun throughout downtown.
Attendees can experience a Downtown Putting Trail, where participating businesses will host mini-putting stations for guests to test their skills as they explore local shops. Visitors are encouraged to stroll through downtown, enjoy spring weather, and take advantage of extended shopping hours, themed drinks, and dinner specials offered by local restaurants. First Friday sponsor restaurants will have Cocktail Caddy Cups in stock for use when strolling downtown with an adult beverage.
“Masters in Milly is a fun way to bring a little bit of a classic Georgia tradition to downtown Milledgeville,” said Main Street Director Jennifer Stasney. “It’s a great opportunity for the community to come together, support local businesses, and enjoy a beautiful spring evening.”
Guests are encouraged to wear their best golf-inspired attire and make a night of it downtown.
Attendees are invited to visit the “Clubhouse,” located at Caddy’s Corner, to pick up their putter and golf ball before embarking on the course. Whether participants bring their own equipment or not, the focus is on fun and enjoying the game. Scorecards will be provided to track progress through the challenges of each hole. In addition to the golf action, the event will feature music by Wide Open Entertainment, delicious food and drinks from participating vendors, and family-friendly activities throughout the evening.
