Downtown Milledgeville is the place to be this Friday night for classic car enthusiasts. Milledgeville Main Street will be hosting the August First Friday: Classic Car Show presented by Five Star Automotive Group featuring Fall Line Rambler.
This event will take place in the 100 block of North Wayne Street with the band playing at the corner of North Wayne Street and East Hancock Street next to Amici from 6-8 p.m. in downtown Milledgeville. Patrons can enjoy viewing over 30 classic cars from Milledgeville’s Old Capital Car Club while listening to live music. Fall Line Rambler is a classic rock and blues band made up of local Baldwin County musicians.
“We have been a working band for 15 or so continuous years and don’t see an end in sight. We love our community and the hometown people in it. We play music mostly from the 60s, 70s and 80s,” said Darrell Brantley. “Our lineup includes Field Whipple on guitar and slide guitar, Wendale Kight on bass, Brayden Long on drums and myself on guitar, harmonica and vocals.”
Participants are encouraged to stop by the voting table to cast a vote for the Milledgeville Main Street First Friday Classic Car Show 2024 People’s Choice Winner award. Participants may also visit many of the local restaurants and businesses that will have specials to enjoy during the festivities.
Several nonprofit and sponsored tents will be set up with games and activities for the kids.
The Adopt a Planter Project is also in full bloom. Enjoy a walking tour through downtown to admire the contribution of many local businesses and individuals that transformed 56 planters into individual works of art.
Special thanks to the First Friday title sponsor Five Star Automotive Group, and champions sponsors Fickling Lake Country Realty, WMVG 104.5, RestoPros Central Georgia, Kinetic by Windstream, and Nelly’s Pet Resort.
