Georgia Military College Preparatory School celebrated with Cadet Liam Beauchamp, who was named the 2024-25 STAR Student for Milledgeville-Baldwin County during a luncheon Feb. 20 hosted by the Milledgeville-Baldwin Chamber of Commerce.
This honor recognizes the top-performing high school senior in the area based on the highest SAT score earned on a single test date.
As part of the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program, each STAR Student selects an educator who has made a lasting impact on their academic journey.
Beauchamp chose Major Alisha Rochon as his STAR Teacher. Her dedication and influence continue to shape the success of GMC Prep students.
Lt. Gen. William B.
Caldwell, IV, president of Georgia Military College, praised their accomplishment, stating, “Cadet Beauchamp’s achievement reflects his relentless pursuit of academic excellence, and Major Rochon’s fourth recognition as STAR Teacher speaks volumes about her commitment to inspiring and mentoring students.
At GMC, we take pride in fostering a culture of leadership and excellence, and these two embody that spirit.”
With this recognition, Beauchamp and Rochon will advance to compete at the region level, proudly representing Georgia Military College Prep School and Baldwin County.
