The mayor and the city council of Milledgeville unofficially agreed this week to water and sewer system rate increases, a phase-in period for the higher charges, and the effective date of the changes.

City Council approves budget amendment

The Milledgeville City Council met on Jan. 9 to hear three presentations and approve an amendment to the budget and two sale/ lease agreements. Mayor Mary Parham-Copelan was not present at the meeting so Steve Chambers acted in her place as pro-tem.

City Council approves new millage rate, fleet agreement

The Milledgeville City Council met Tuesday and approved the new millage rate and several resolutions regarding city projects. The final public hearing for the ordinance to set the 2023 millage rate at 12.12 took place before the vote.
