Flannery O’Conner Institute renamed

A formal name change for Andalusia Institute at Georgia College & State University (GCSU) has taken place, and it will now be known as the Flannery O’Connor Institute for the Humanities.Flannery O’Conner graduated from Georgia State College for Women (now GCSU) in 1945, where she earned her B.A.

Kuehn grand marshals GCSU homecoming

Kevin Kuehn, an individual at the Life Enrichment Center (LEC), was recently initiated into Kappa Alpha Order’s Epsilon Nu chapter at Georgia College & State University (GCSU) and served as the grand marshal during the homecoming parade.Kuehn was initiated into the chapter on Jan.

GCSU students to propose public art ordinance

A new ordinance regulating public art will be presented to the Milledgeville City Council for consideration at its first meeting of 2024 this Tuesday. Grace King, a student at Georgia College & State University, addressed Mayor Mary Parham-Copelan and council members on Dec. 12.

Milledgeville and GCSU receive solar power grant

The City of Milledgeville and Georgia College & State University (GCSU) have received a $100,000 grant to educate students on the design and installation of solar panels. Officials are hoping for both short-and long-term positive results.
