Georgia Military College rose to No. 7 in the latest NJCAA top 25 poll after a 31-7 victory against Central Georgia Tech last Saturday at Davenport Field.
The Dawgs now look to exorcise some Texas-sized demons this Saturday, as they return to the Lone Star State to take on old rival Navarro. GMC's first Texas road trip of the season wasn't a happy one, as the Dawgs fell to Tyler Junior College 30-20 in the season opener.
A loss this Saturday would all but eliminate GMC from the NJCAA four-team playoff and national title contention. Navarro enters the game 2-0 and ranked No. 8.
Last Saturday was one of the hottest games at Davenport Field in recent memory. The game was tied 7-7 entering the fourth quarter before the Dawgs rattled off 17 unanswered points en route to the victory.
