On May 16, several reports were sent to the Milledgeville Police Department regarding spray paint on the rears of the Goodwill Store, at King of Smoke, 5 Star Beauty and Fashion, and Stop and Go Grocery Store, all located on North Columbia Street.

According to a report, the business owner of Stop and Go Grocery Store, Himunshau Barot, informed the owner of King of Smoke of spray paint on the rear of her store and his store. The manager at King of Smoke advised it would cost approximately $100 to remove or paint over the spray paint.

Barot stated in the report that they left Stop and Go Grocery Store at 10:30 p.m. on May 15 and there was no spray paint. He returned at 9 a.m. on May 16 to discover the paint on both buildings. Barot stated he did not have security cameras at the rear of his store; however, King of Smoke, Goodwill and 5 Star Beauty and Fashion did. Law enforcement did review the security footage from Goodwill but could not see the subjects in the security camera footage spray paint the rear of the grocery store.

At Goodwill, security footage only showed two white male subjects walk south behind King of Smoke and spray paint the rear wall before they walked to the rear of Goodwill. The pair spray painted the rear of the Goodwill Store before returning to King of Smoke and spray painting the south wall of the location.

As of The Baldwin Bulletin’s deadline, no suspects have been named nor any arrests been made.
