The Eatonton-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony last Wednesday at Robins Financial Credit Union (RFCU), where the credit union also donated $24,000 split among seven local nonprofit organizations throughout Putnam and Baldwin counties.
The charitable contributions were made in celebration of opening RFCU’s 24th branch at 1051 Milledgeville Rd.
(north of Lake Sinclair), while demonstrating an ongoing commitment to making a positive impact in the communities the organization serves.
Five Putnam County nonprofit organizations received $2,400 each, including Eatonton Veterans Thrift Store, Habitat for Humanity Putnam County, Putnam Christian Outreach, Putnam Reads, and Ryan’s Gift. Additionally, $6,000 each was donated to the Baldwin County Board of Education and Putnam County Board of Education.
“We are proud to be able to support each of these amazing organizations that work diligently to serve the needs of local residents,” Robins Financial Credit Union President and CEO Christina O’Brien said. “Opening our new Sinclair branch is about more than expanding access to convenient banking solutions; it’s also about strengthening our connection with the community.”
A Robins Financial statement said the new Sinclair branch represents an important milestone in the company’s expansion efforts.
