The Baldwin County School District (BCSD) appointed Marilyn Katrina London as its new chief financial officer, following approval by the Board of Education. London brings over 25 years of extensive experience in accounting, financial management, and federal funds administration, specifically tailored to the needs of educational institutions.
A native of Washington County, London graduated with honors from Washington County High School in 1991, where she was a key player on the legendary “Golden Hawkettes” basketball team that achieved an undefeated championship season. She pursued her passion for financial stewardship by earning a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in accounting from Georgia College in 1995. Her educational journey continued with a master’s degree in accounting from Nova Southeastern University in 2004, culminating in becoming a certified public accountant in 2006.
Throughout her distinguished career, London has consistently demonstrated expertise in managing complex financial operations, overseeing meticulous compliance with federal funding regulations, and enhancing transparency and efficiency in financial processes. Her strategic approach and strong ethical standards have positioned her as a trusted leader in financial management across various educational and governmental sectors.

London resides in Washington County with her three daughters, Kenya, Kandace, and Katie. Outside her professional commitments, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, attending church, and following basketball games.
