Cadet Liam Beauchamp was named the 2024-25 Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) Student for Georgia Military College Preparatory School (GMC Prep), an esteemed recognition awarded by the Milledgeville-Baldwin Chamber of Commerce to high school seniors who excel academically.
To obtain a STAR nomination, graduating high school seniors must achieve the highest score on a single test date on the SAT and rank in the top 10% or top 10 students of their class based on grade point average.
As part of the program, each STAR Student selects an educator who has had a profound impact on their academic journey. Beauchamp chose Major Alisha Rochon as his STAR Teacher, marking her fourth time receiving this distinguished honor.
The STAR program, sponsored by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) Foundation, is conducted in partnership with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Department of Education. It celebrates the achievements of outstanding students and acknowledges educators who played a pivotal role in their success.
The Millegeville-Baldwin Chamber of Commerce continues this tradition of recognizing the community’s future leaders and the dedicated professionals who have guided them.
Through the PAGE STAR Program, students and educators are celebrated at the local, regional, and state levels, fostering a connection between academic excellence and the business and civic community.
GMC Preparatory School congratulates Beauchamp and Rochon on this well-deserved honors and commends their dedication to academic excellence and leadership.
