The Baldwin County School District (BCSD) was honored to be part of the Georgia College & State University annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Breakfast.
This year's breakfast theme was, 'Echoes of MLK: Activism, Disobedience, and Rights in the 21st Century.” The breakfast recognized student art and essay winners of the same theme.
The morning was filled with speakers who shared Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream. It was a time to honor his work and renew the promises made to keep the momentum of justice, equality, and dignity.
BCSD wants to congratulate the following students who were recognized during the ceremony. In the art category: Zamarah Collins, Midway Hills Primary; Aria Champion, Lakeview Primary; Eastlyn Mosley, Lakeview Primary; Flint Hollinshead, Lakeview Primary; and Harper Hodgman, Midway Hills Primary. Braylee Meeks of Georgia College Early College was recognized in poetry and Drelyn Hill of Baldwin High School was recognized in the essay category.
