Power tools stolen from trailer

On Dec. 12, law enforcement made contact with the complainant, Paul Adkins, in the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office lobby in reference to a theft from a cargo trailer. Adkins stated he was working at two separate residences at the time of the theft. Adkins stated the incident could have occurred at 123 Lakecrest Dr. or 102 Burns Rd.

He reported missing a Mikita 10.25' circular saw, a Milwaukee pole drill, and a Milwaukee 18V framing nailer.

Adkins stated he is unsure who took the power tools.

Unknown subject steals from Walmart

On Dec. 13, law enforcement responded to Walmart, located at 2592 N. Columbia St., in reference to a suspicious male subject. While en-route to the location, the officer was advised via radio by dispatch that the male subject had left the location. Loss prevention personnel advised that she approached the male subject due to him resembling someone she had trespassed from the location in a previous incident. After the male was confronted, he abandoned his shopping cart, which contained items totaling $387.50 before taxes.

After reviewing video surveillance, law enforcement was unable to identify the male subject.

Customer steals employee’s bag

On Dec. 16, law enforcement was dispatched to Walmart, at 2592 N.

Columbia St., in reference to a theft that had already occurred and made contact with the victim, Gail Travis, in the Customer Service Center. Travis stated that when she returned to her area after lunch, she placed her clear bag containing her prescription glasses with a pink case (valued at $300), Apple I-Pods (valued at $130), an Ozark Trail cup (valued at $20) and some other miscellaneous items on the selfcheck- out register #23. When she went to get something out of it, the bag was gone. Video footage showed a heavy-set white female pick up the bag and walk to another employee to give it to them, but at the last second the female walks back to her shopping cart and puts the bag in it. The female then left the store, went to her vehicle, and drove off with the items. Asset Protection was unable to get the tag number of the vehicle.

Unknown subject steals phone accessories

On Dec. 16, law enforcement was dispatched to Valero, at 1111 S. Wayne St., regarding shoplifting that already occurred. The employee stated a male subject came into the store and concealed several cell phone accessories. The employee stated on three different occasions this male subject put a Celltronix USB cable, Dual USB wall plug, and ear buds, all valued at $21, in various pockets of his jacket.

The male would price check the items then conceal them in his pockets while employees were distracted. Video footage confirmed their story.
