Culver Kidd Building reports damages
On June 10, law enforcement contacted the maintenance director at the Culver Kidd Building, 2460 Vinson Highway, in reference to damage to property. The director stated he was notified by Dynamic Security of a window broken at the location. The director advised he arrived at the location and observed two broken windows, which he valued at approximately $2,100. The windows could have been broken anytime between June 7-10.
Marijuana located in vehicle
On June 14, law enforcement was patrolling the Wray homes area when they observed a verbal altercation occurring between 400 and 404 Earnest Byner St. An officer activates their siren to make them stop yelling at one another and they got into a Honda.
After some discussion law enforcement identified Sontavious Cooper as the driver. Cooper informed the officer that they were arguing about something reportedly stolen from her home by another passenger. Another argument ensued, resulting in the other individuals walking away. Another officer later stopped them as they were walking through the west-end cemetery. While the primary officer continued to speak with Cooper, they noted the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Upon looking at the driver's floorboard, the officer observed a small bag containing marijuana. Cooper was arrested for possession of marijuana less than an ounce and trespassed from Wray Homes.
Items stolen from home on South Cambridge
On June 17, law enforcement was dispatched to a residence on S.
Cambridge Rd. in reference to a theft.
The homeowner left June 14 and when he returned home, he found his residence was rummaged through. He reported missing his black HP laptop totaling $400, a black Canon AV-1 serial totaling $200, a Manmath bone knife totaling $200, a full checkbook, and two pairs of hunting overalls totaling $160.
