50th year high school Reunion for Baldwin High Class of 1974

>> REUNION

The Baldwin High School Class of 1974 celebrated its 50th reunion with a weeklong series of events beginning May 27 through June 2. There were over 275 classmates in the Class of 1974.

The calendar of events consisted of a Memorial Day service for all deceased classmates, game night, bowling, and dinner at a local restaurant. The class of 1974 relived its graduation through the theme “Let’s Go Back.” Therefore, on Friday, May 31, the featured highlight for the reunion consisted of a graduation commencement service.

This celebration was unique and heartfelt, for the 1974 graduation was held on Friday, May 31, 50 years ago. The classmates wore caps and gowns adorned with gold scrolls and tassels to commemorate the golden reunion.

This celebration was held at the Voices of Praise Life Enrichment Center with family and friends to cheer them on. There was so much joy as each one took the stage to receive their certificate. The graduation celebration ended with an after party at the American Legion Post 523 with refreshments and dancing.

On June 1, the class hosted a formal ball at Georgia College & State University Magnolia Ballroom, where all participants were given an opportunity to walk the golden carpet. The reunion climaxed June 2 with a church service at Flagg Chapel Baptist Church. After the church services, the classmates gave hugs and said their goodbyes until the next reunion.
