Milly Farmers Market is hosting bi-monthly gatherings at the Marketplace Pavilion, located at 222 E. Hancock St., on the first and third Friday of each month from 4-7 p.m., bringing the community together to enjoy the best local produce and artisanal goods.
Thanks to a generous grant from Wholesome Wave Georgia, Milly Farmers Market is offering a benefit for EBT/ SNAP recipients. This grant allows the market to double EBT/SNAP money for purchases, making fresh, healthy food more accessible to everyone in the community.
Visitors to Milly Farmers Market can expect an array of seasonal fruits and vegetables, organic potted edibles, berries, and perennials. The market also features a variety of unique and locally crafted items, including:
• Eggs
• Jams and jellies
• Local honey
• Handmade goat soaps
• Finely crafted cedar bowls
• Hand-poured candles
• Wildflower bouquets In addition to shopping, guests can enjoy live music, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the market.
“This is more than just a market – it’s a celebration of community, sustainability, and local artistry,” said Carlee Schulte, executive director of Milledgeville Main Street.
Local farmers and artisans rely on community support to sustain their livelihoods. By shopping at Milly Farmers Market, citizens are directly contributing to the local economy and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
