Tuesday night's primaries will drag on as two races head to runoffs as no candidate reached the 50%-plus-one margin necessary to win outright.
That will not be an issue for State Sen. Rick Williams, who holds an 88% margin over his challenger at 11:30 p.m.
Incumbent District 5 Commissioner John Westmoreland narrowly avoided an outright defeat by Scott Little, who ultimately ended up with just less than 49% of the vote. The District 4 race wasn't as close but will also head to a June 18 runoff.
