Ruth Elaine Matthews Baxley, 98, of Vidalia, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024. Survivors include sons, Ron Baxley and David Baxley of Milledgeville; daughters, Elaine Phillips of Knoxville, Tennessee, Bernice Read of Eatonton and JoAnn Herron of Milledgeville; daughter-inlove Deborah Lindsey (Don); 12 grandchildren; 30 greatgrandchildren; 13 great great-grandchildren; and special friends Luther and Berta Minor and Joe Dawson.
