The Hometown Celebration event serves as a testament to the vibrant spirit and rich cultural heritage of Milledgeville. This event started in 2014 as a community celebration for winning the national title of a Great American Main Street City by the Main Street America organization.
This award is given to communities whose success serves as a model for comprehensive, preservation-based revitalization efforts in their historic downtowns and commercial corridor districts.
'We are thrilled to host the Hometown Celebration event and welcome our community to join us for an evening of fun and excitement,' said Carlee Schulte, director of Milledgeville Main Street/ Downtown Development Authority. 'This event is a celebration of everything that makes Milledgeville special, including our community members, vibrant culture, and strong sense of community.'
The event is sponsored by Five Star Automotive Group, and our Champions Sponsors: Fickling Lake Country Realty, WMVG 104.5, Nelly’s Pet Resort, Kinetic by Windstream, and RestoPros of Central Georgia.
