Santa cruises for Christmas on Sinclair

On a chilly night on Dec. 18, Santa set out with a group of Lake Sinclair enthusiasts to see the enchanting Christmas Cove. From singing Christmas songs to playing “I Spy” with the attendees in Christmas Cove, the journey was full of laughter, music, and holiday cheer.

H2O Adventures has been partnering with Santa Claus and his elves to bring Christmas to Lake Sinclair throughout the month.

Santa drives their cruise ship around the lake with the assistance of his Head Elf George Craig to show off the lights that locals have put up for others to enjoy.

“Santa wants to show off the best of Lake Sinclair. We visit lights along the shore as we head into Christmas Cove and then take each group through an in-depth viewing of the cove,” said Craig. “Each cruise is either led by Santa or his elves. No matter who you get, we are all here to spread our Christmas cheer from the North Pole and help you make memories.”

Each cruise can fit up to 10 people and groups are welcome to bring their refreshments for the cruise the elves encourage attendees to dress up and dress warmly. The more people on each cruise, the “merrier” the atmosphere as Santa makes waves to and from the cove.

“The best part is dressing up, getting cozy, and watching all the lights shine around you and shimmer in the lake,” said Craig. “It awakens your Christmas spirit and brings joy to both children and adults. It’s a unique way to enjoy viewing the lights.”

Cruise with Santa debuted two years ago, according to Santa’s head elf. Teaming with H2O Adventures, the North Pole inhabitants wanted to visit Lake Sinclair and show off its beauty and wonder to everyone else.

While the lights are the main spectacle, Santa and Craig boast about the beauty and peacefulness of sailing under the moonlight with the nipping of Jack Frost around their boat and the eager chatter of attendees on board.

“Our cruise is the best way to see Lake Sinclair during the Christmas season and have a one-on-one interaction with Santa Claus. Christmas Cove continues to improve and shine brighter each year and is a rare sight to see,” said Craig. “We encourage everyone to reserve a cruise when the holiday season comes around so they can experience everything.”

Cruises end this year on Dec. 23 but will return for next year’s holiday season. Cruises typically begin near the end of November.
