At approximately 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Baldwin County 911 received a call for service in reference to a domestic dispute involving gunfire at 49 West Apartment Homes.
While deputies and investigators were responding to the scene, the offender, Josquarn De’angelo Lewis, was located in his vehicle on Highway 29 south of Allen Memorial Drive. The weapon used in the incident was seized, and Lewis was taken into custody without incident.
The victim, identified as Zaelon Jones, drove herself to the emergency room and was found to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
A witness at the residence was able to escape the apartment during the gunfire and called 911.
Jones was hospitalized and reportedly in stable condition.
Lewis is charged with aggravated stalking, two counts of aggravated assault and home invasion in the first degree. Lewis is being held in the Baldwin County Jail without bond.
