On Jan. 25, law enforcement responded to Blandy Road in reference to a theft. Reportedly, six white vehicles had catalytic converters removed without any further damages. There was no surveillance at the time of the incident and without suspects, no charges are being filed.
Unknown subject steals printer from Office Max
On Jan. 25, law enforcement was dispatched to Office Max on North Columbia Street in reference to a theft.
Reportedly, a subject came into the store and was walking around the store when an employee asked if they needed assistance. The subject declined help and later proceeded to run out of the store with a LaserJet printer while the employee was checking other customers out. The printer was valued at $300.99 and the check making software was valued at $29.99. As of The Baldwin Bulletin’s deadline, there is no further information.
Woman steals $71 worth of merchandise from Walmart
On Jan. 26, law enforcement was dispatched to Walmart in reference to shoplifting. Camera footage showed Shereka May-Neal on Jan. 24 failing to scan various items amounting to $18.98.
May-Neal had the items voided, and then proceeded to only take out a few items and scan them, therefore failing to scan the whole bag of items and its contents.
On Jan. 25, May-Neal can be seen failing to scan items and alter price tags on various items amounting to $52.59. A warrant was secured for theft by shoplifting for May-Neal.
Traffic stop leads to location of marijuana
On Jan. 26, law enforcement initiated a traffic stop on Georgia State Route 49 and Bay Valley. Initially the vehicle was stopped for a faulty passenger tail light, however, upon approaching the vehicle the reporting officer smelled the odor of marijuana. When asked if the driver, Karmen Ingram, had any marijuana, she stated no. Ingram and her passenger, Jermaine Hollingshed, were asked to step out of the vehicle and a probable cause search located a bag containing three white round pills and a clear bag containing a green leafy substance suspected to be marijuana. The pills were later identified as Acetaminophen and Oxycodone Hydrochloride.
Warrants for possession of a schedule II-controlled substance and purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana were secured for Hollingsshed.
Drunk driver speeds on North Columbia Street
On Jan. 27, law enforcement observed a vehicle traveling north on North Columbia Street near Heritage Place at 106 miles per hour in a posted 45 miles per hour zone. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the driver, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. The driver, Paul Cannon, was reported to have been stumbling and had bloodshot and watery eyes. Cannon was issued citations for reckless driving, DUI, and speeding.
