What: All Shook Up: The Musical When: 7 p.m. Where: Goldstein Center for Performing Arts More info: All Shook Up is a heartwarming story following the arrival of Chad in a small midwestern town with a guitar on his back. The town begins to embrace his sound, although the conservative mayor is against him. Music by Elvis, inspired by Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.

What: Night in Da Ville When: 6 p.m. Where: Powell Building, Central State Hospital More info: Celebrate Halloween at Central State Hospital, with fun for all ages! Festivities include a Trunk or Treat for kids, a haunted trail ride, a haunted house theater, food from vendors, live entertainment, and more! What: Trunk-Or-Treat When: 5-7 p.m. Where: Bodyplex Milledgeville (1850 N Columbia St Unit 1A) More info: Bodyplex is hosting their annual Trunk-Or-Treat.

What: Wine and Cheese Reception When: 7-9 p.m. Where: Marlor House More info: Join us for our Wine and Cheese Reception just in time for the big Halloween Weekend! Suggested donation is $15 per person. We will have artists Dana Thompson and Audrey Crumbley, as well as artists from the Life Enrichment Center.

What: Fall at Stepback When: 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Where: Stepback, 176 Dennis Station Rd., Eatonton More info: Come celebrate the fall season at Stepback, an 1850 to early 1900s community featuring working demonstrations at a sawmill, blacksmith shop, grist mill, water-wheel mill, and syrup shed. Tour the Stepback village furnished throughout with period antiques and chat with the general store manager, the schoolmarm, the miller and his wife. Also enjoy old-time singing in the church, complimentary refreshments, and yes, the boiled peanut man will be there, too. No admission fee, but donations will be accepted for local needy children this Christmas. For more information call Roger at 706-473-1379.

What: Death, After Dark When: 6 p.m. & 7 p.m. Where: Georgia’s Old Governor’s Mansion More info: These specialty tours focus on the deathways of the 19th century. They are intended for mature audiences and may not be suitable for young children. In accordance with social distancing guidelines and safety protocols, tour sizes will be limited and advanced ticket purchases are required. What: Taking the Mystery out of Water Color When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. More info: Artist Dana Thompson will provide a beginner watercolor lesson and attendees will leave with two completed 9 x 12 pieces. Registration is $125 for artists 14 and above and you must register before Oct. 19, What: Family Fun Day When: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Where: Highway 441 South, 1534 Irwinton Road More info: Come join the Lockerly staff and volunteers for a day of interactive activities for the whole family. This event is free and open to all ages! Activities for the day will include hay rides, kids-n-clay, fun with microscopes, guided hikes, animal tracks and more.

What: Treats 4 Halloween When: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Where: Downtown Milledgeville More info: Over 30 businesses will have a flyer in their window along with a balloon outside to help you find them. We will have characters on hand for photos and assistance, as well as decorations and candy. Have a wonderful time trick-or-treating downtown.

What: Grief Share Small Group When: 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Where: 385 Log Cabin Drive More info: Everyone in our community who is coping with the loss of a loved one is welcome to participate in New Life’s oncampus Grief Ministry. GriefShare materials provide an effective combination of counselors and testimonials on video along with small group sharing and workbooks to help in your journey.

Six sessions will be offered in October and November.
