The Georgia college volleyball team has announced their fall schedule which includes 12 home matches.
The season starts off with the Bobcat Classic tournament. GC will kick off their season on August 26th at 6 p.m. against West Virginia State University. The tournament continues into the 27th where the Bobcats will face Limestone College at noon. At 4 p.m. they will wrap up their outing in the tournament with a match against Southern Wesleyan._ The next stop on the schedule the Bobcats will be on the road for a seven-game stretch. They will travel to Mars Hill for their annual tournament.
They will play matches against King University in Tennessee, Coker College, and the host team Mars Hill. Next, they will travel to Emmanuel for the first midweek contest of the season. To wrap up the road slate the Bobcats will play in the annual Peach Belt Conference (PBC) and Gulf South Conference (GSC) cross over tournament. It is being held at the University of West Georgia which is who GC will face first. The second game of the tournament for the Bobcats will be against Valdosta State.
The final day of the tournament GC will end the seven-game road slate against Montevallo._ Volleyball finally returns to the Centennial Center Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. for the first conference contest of the season. Last season the Bobcats took two losses to the Pacers, one in three sets and the other in five.
GC dives deeper in the PBC play as they travel to Young Harris for their first conference game on the road. The Bobcats will play the Mountain Lions twice before moving to the next PBC matchup.
The next game will be on the road against the defending PBC tournament champions Augusta. Last season the Bobcats picked up two wins over Young Harris and split with Augusta. The win over Augusta was a huge win and the upset of the season.
Next on the schedule are five straight home games. This will start with Lander on the 22 and the 23. GC took on the Bearcats three times last season picking up one win in their first matchup. Another midweek contest comes in the form of Albany State. Both squads squared off last season and GC went 2-for-2.
Back into conference play the Bobcats will host the conference runner ups Flagler College. Flagler took both games from GC in the 2021 season._ Following the home slate GC is back on the road traveling to Augusta and USC Aiken. After the road matchup with the Pacers, they will travel to Milledgeville for their third matchup of the season. GC will then take on Young Harris in Milledgeville as well._ The Bobcats will travel to Jefferson City, Tennessee to compete in their third tournament of the season. This is the annual PBC and South Atlantic Conference crossover tournament.
The teams are still to be announced._ To wrap up the regular season GC will bring Augusta to Milledgeville for the third game between the two. GC will be on the road for their final two contests of the season. They will first head to Lander then they will head to Flagler._ The conference tournament will kick off on Nov.
10. The highest seed will host therefore the site is TBA.
